The Finance Unit is part of the Department of Finance and Management, which belongs to the Municipal Executive Office. Your main workplace will be at Djursholms Slott, located near Djursholm's center.

The Finance Unit is responsible for the municipal-wide coordination of financial and management issues for the entire municipal group. As a controller in the unit, you contribute to a unified financial management of the municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a controller, you work across the municipality with the planning and monitoring processes and participate in the work of developing the municipality's financial operations. You report to the head of the finance unit and work closely with the finance manager, accounting officer, operational controller, controllers, and economists in the departments. The role includes coordinating the planning process from planning conditions and directives to decisions about the municipality's budget. The role also involves participating in the work with the municipality's interim reports and annual reports.

The role involves participating in the process of developing guidelines and templates for financial statements, budgets, and monitoring. The assignment includes both directing and supporting the municipality's controllers and economists by providing materials for management and ensuring that directives and guidelines are followed by the operations. Together with the economists in the departments, the role serves as support in budget monitoring and forecasting, both at the departmental level and for the entire administration. In the role, you are also expected to support colleagues within the unit.

The job responsibilities also include participating in and leading various investigations and writing and being responsible for service statements related to finance. The job may also involve participating in the work with the municipality's liquidity and debt management, guarantees, and reporting to Statistics Sweden (SCB), investments based on the applicant's previous experience, and the needs of the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
• Several years of experience working as a controller or economist responsible for budgeting, monitoring, and forecasting.
• Good experience working in financial and decision support systems.
• Strong skills in Office programs, especially Excel.
• Experience writing various financial reports and investigations.
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Worked as a controller or economist in municipal operations.
• Experience in goal and operational management.
• Worked with internal control and/or auditing.
• Good knowledge of accounting.
• Experience working with investments.

As a person, you work in a structured way by following clear processes, planning your work well, and meeting deadlines. You are results-oriented, driven, and have good analytical skills. You identify risks, see opportunities, and contribute to improvements.

You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and actively contribute to collaborations when needed. You have a clear integrity and can make well-founded decisions. Since the role involves close contacts with managers and colleagues, you need to be attentive, communicative, and adaptable in your dialogue style. We are looking for someone with pedagogical skills who can make complex information understandable. We place great importance on personal suitability.
